LaGrange County Regional Utility District
presented with $3,220,000 check from Rural Development
On April 22, The U.S.
Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Agency, presented the
LaGrange County Regional Utility District with a check for $3,220,000
for their Lake Shipshewana wastewater collection and treatment system
project during a special Earth Day Celebration.

recently presented a Performance Award to Chad Salzbrenner, P.E., L.S.
Mr. Salzbrenner is a Project Manager and Senior Design
Engineer specializing in the management and design of
transportation, trailway, stormwater and various municipal and
Department of Transportation infrastructure projects. Performance
Awards are given to employees who go above and beyond providing
outstanding service for the company and the clients we serve. The
award is voted on by Group Leaders and given out quarterly.

Recognizing
employee achievements
David Benefiel,
AICP, has earned the designation
as a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Benefiel
is a professional planner with Bonar Group. He has experience in
various aspects of the planning field with a primary focus to help
facilitate small towns and rural communities in economic development,
planning and community strengthening. Benefiel has a Masters of Urban
and Regional Planning Degree from Ball State University as well as a
Bachelor of Science Degree from Evangel College. He is a member of the
American Planning Association (APA) and Indiana Planning Association
(IPA).
Over the past seven funding
cycles, Bonar Group helped secure a total of over $103 million in Federal funding
for 47 community transportation projects.
SAFETEA-LU
((The Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity
Act: A Legacy for Users)
provides 80% federal funds with a 20% local share for transportation
improvements. Federal funds are available to rehabilitate, reconstruct,
and resurface major streets. A street must be classified as a "Major
Collector" street in order to be eligible for funding. All streets within
the State of Indiana have a designated functional classification.
